Connie Day we will miss her

Most of us knew Corinne Day only through the images she created, but that doesn’t lessen the shock of hearing the news of her untimely death. Day was only 45 when she died Saturday after a long struggle with a brain tumor, but her influence lives on via her pictures. The images she took were revolutionary, not because of a camera trick or Photoshop manipulation, but due to their honesty and sincerity. The sight of a freckle faced, teenaged Kate Moss frolicking on the beach in the pages of The Face made an impact because it was so different from what was going on in fashion at that moment.
